As a hedge, 'Degroot’s Spire' Arborvitae provides a lush backdrop to the garden throughout the year. Ideal for formal spaces and small gardens, this cultivar will slowly grow into a green wall or living fence, as seen around the sitting walls in Catalpa Court here at Stoneleigh. The vertical nature of the plant and its short stature also make it an ideal candidate for a solo specimen, especially in a small space.
